I would love nothing more than to be able to release all of my work for free, but I wouldn't have a place to live if I did that.

I'm making a personal promise. For every 10 dollars donated, I will release public access to the custom data search tool for a full day. This tool gives complete access to the database.

Just a few thousand dollars would provide for complete access to all Canadians for the entire year, which is a LOT less than any other contractor on the planet would charge. If only 1 percent of all Canadians donated a single penny it would pay for the entire year. Does that sound fair? I doubt you'll find a better deal on anything, anywhere, ever, lol :)

It is a lot easier to continue my work on this and other public service / humanitarian projects if I have a place to live.

Your donation will help with the following maintenance and new developments:

• Ongoing maintenance and updates to the crawler to collect new expenses as they are published
• Additional reports of comparison of past and present expenses, for tracking spending trends either upwards or downwards
• Configuration of the crawler and reporting engines to retrieve and report on contracts, grants, position reclassifications and founded wrongdoings
• Lobbying for the full set of MP expenses to be released via proactive disclosure
• Upgrading of the engine to handle the full MP expenses upon release
• Working on acquiring the provincial data for each province and territory in Canada
• Building separate areas and reports within the site for each province
• Possible select municipality expense reporting down the road
• Adding support to the crawler to parse PDF reports to collect the three or four departments which use PDF data
